I love the fact that the author, Elizabeth, uses actual moments with her grandson to write these stories. I know any parent, grandparent, or caregiver who spends time with toddlers have shared their own creative moments with their kids. So creative!

Elizabeth's Story

Elizabeth is an award-winning teacher.  She earned a master’s degree in cross-cultural education and language curriculum, where she utilized her multiple subject credential to help write curriculum for her district over 20 years and taught junior high school language, literature, and history. During her twenty-five year career, she served as master teacher/mentor for new educators and offered presentations on classroom management skills to local university students. She has received multiple awards including Educator of the Year, Region 7, California League of Middle Schools.

Since retiring, she spends more time with her grandson.  As Elizabeth and four-year-old Beckham play, daily stories unfold creatively through his interpretation of their fun activities. Sometimes laughing out loud and other times just staring in amazement, Elizabeth was driven to start penning what Beckham would act out or invent into stories that other children would love to hear. She believes that the encouragement towards imaginative play is key to a child’s development.

The Adventures of Beckham Grey series has been a work of passion for her, not only for the unforgettable memories she has created, enjoyed, and made memorable on the page, but also for the scores of children who will be inspired by Beckham Grey.

Imagination is Priceless.
